Glyna Studio

These Terms & Conditions apply to all workshop registrations, purchases from the Glyna Studio store, and use of our website. By registering for a workshop or making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Workshops & Registration

All workshops must be booked and paid for in advance through our website. Registration is confirmed once payment has been received. Workshop spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Full payment is required at the time of registration. Workshop registration is non-refundable, except as outlined in the cancellation policy below. In certain cases, studio credit may be offered.

2. Age Requirements

  • Participants 12 years and older may attend workshops independently.

  • Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.

  • If a participant is under 6 years old, please contact us by email prior to registering so we can confirm suitability for the workshop.

3. Cancellations & Changes

Participant cancellations

  • Cancellations made 3 days or more before the scheduled workshop date will receive full credit toward a future workshop at Glyna Studio.

  • Cancellations made less than 3 days before the workshop may receive a credit only if the spot can be filled.

  • If the spot cannot be filled, the workshop fee is forfeited.

  • You are welcome to send another person in your place if you are unable to attend.

No-shows

If you do not attend a workshop you are registered for, we are unable to offer a refund or credit.

Studio cancellations

Glyna Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. If a workshop is cancelled by the studio, participants will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Workshops may also be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. In this case, a full refund will be provided.

4. Workshop Experience & Studio Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others and the studio space. Glyna Studio reserves the right to refuse participation or remove anyone whose behaviour disrupts the workshop or compromises safety, without refund.

Working with clay can be physically engaging and messy. Participants acknowledge that pottery involves inherent risks, including minor injuries, and agree to participate at their own discretion.

5. Finished Work & Pickup

Finished pieces will be glazed and fired after the workshop and are typically ready for pickup within 4–6 weeks. Timing may vary due to kiln schedules or technical issues inherent in the ceramics process.

Participants will be notified by email when work is ready for pickup. Items not collected within a reasonable timeframe (typically 60 days after notification) may be discarded due to limited storage space.

Due to the nature of ceramics, cracking, warping, glaze variation, or breakage during firing may occur. While every effort is made to ensure quality results, these outcomes are considered part of the ceramic process and are not grounds for refunds or replacements.

6. Store Purchases & Discounts

All pottery sold through the Glyna Studio store is handmade and may show natural variations in shape, size, colour, and finish. These variations are a natural part of the ceramic process and are not considered defects.

Discount codes:

  • Discount codes apply to store items only unless otherwise stated.

  • Discount codes are not valid for workshops.

  • Only one discount code may be used per order.

All store sales are final unless an item arrives damaged. Please contact us within a reasonable timeframe if your order arrives damaged.

7. Privacy & Communications

By registering for a workshop or subscribing to our mailing list, you consent to receive occasional emails from Glyna Studio regarding studio updates, workshops, and store releases.

We respect your privacy and do not sell or share your personal information. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link provided in our communications.

8. Changes to Terms

Glyna Studio reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
